Triathlon Teams and Lane Assignments

Hi Team!

Our big AW-K triathlon is just two days away!  I am so excited about seeing everyone compete! Here is the list of teams and lane assignments.  If you are on a team of 3 swimmers, you will compete one after the other.  If you are on a team of 3 runners, I'm going to have you help count laps for the swimmers, and then all the tri-swim teams and tri-run teams will be transported over to the run course.

All athletes must check in at 7 am at West pool.  There is a meeting for all athletes and volunteers at 7:15 am.  There will be water stations out on the course, but feel free to bring a water bottle if you want.  All bikers must wear a helmet.

Thank You and a Few Odds and Ends

Hi Team!

Holy cow!  We had 50 volunteers show up to help on Sunday at Lambeau!  Despite a *brief* sprinkle, I'd have to say that Sunday was the most pleasant of all the Lambeau cleaning days we have ever done.  There was WAY less trash to clean up, and we even got to go on the field.  Given the reaction of all of the Packer fans in our group, I'm guessing that is a big deal.  :)  I'd like to say a special thank you to the dads who gave up part of their Father's Day to support the team and to Chad Heldt and Connor O'Brien who came out to support the team as alumni.  Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helped on Sunday.

All kinds of information about June 30th's AW-K Triathlon will be posted after I meet with the guys later tonight.  We are going to need about 25 volunteers to help out that day in order to make sure the course is safe for all of our athletes.

Our all-program trip to Noah's Ark is July 12th.  You must have your permission slip and fee in to a captain or myself by July 7th.  To get a permission slip, click on the link on the side of the page and print one out. The permission slip says "Appleton West" on the top, but it is for both Appleton West and Kimberly athletes. There is a $40 fee for the trip which covers the admission price and bus costs.

With AW-K Pride,
Coach Vicki

Contact Day #1 is Tomorrow (June 16th!)

Hey Team!

Tomorrow, June 16th, is our first contact day for the 2017 season!  We are going to meet at Appleton West pool from 7-9 am.  Please park in the lot attached to the pool.  Our captains will be waiting outside to get you into the pool.

As I said at the Fall Sports Meetings, attendance at contact days is not required, but they are a whole bunch of fun, so if you can make it, please plan on coming!  We will get in the water for part of the time, so please bring a suit, goggles, cap, and water bottle.  You do not have to have all your paperwork in or have your fees paid in order to participate at contact days, but if you have those items ready, feel free to bring them, and we will show you were they need to go.  If you still need to print out your forms, there is a link on the right side of this page.  Click on it, and then click on the link that corresponds to your school.

I'm so excited to see everybody tomorrow!

With AW-K Pride,

Coach Vicki

Lambeau Field Clean Up--June 18

Hi Team!

One week from today, June 18th from 1-4 pm, is our first Lambeau clean up day!  I received an email from the coordinator, and she said that if we bring 40 people, they will pay us $1250!  That's almost twice what we would normally get paid for 30 people, so of course, I totally want to get 40 people there!

UPDATE!!  We only need 5 more people to get to 40.  We can totally do this!  Ask around and bring your friends--it will definitely count as volunteer hours!  Please text or email me ASAP if you can help.  I have to turn the list of names in by Thursday night.  Just a reminder that each member of the team is required to work at 2 Lambeau clean up days.

Thanks a bunch!
